Classical Music 1 Comment June 23

There have been / are a ton of things I want to write about, I just have to find the time. However, this is really easy for me to bang out quickly :)

Classical music is amazing. The dynamism and depth of sound, the playfulness, the seriousness, it really is helping me get work done today. I think many people forget that very few songs each year are worth keeping around. It was true then (the big composers were awesome, the little guys not so much) and it's true today.

There are good country songs, good rap songs, good any kind of songs. Don't limit yourself.

Try some Brahms, Rachmaninov, etc.

Smooth Jazz is Back

I am still not sure if there are any human dj's, since I haven't had time to listen very long. They took the station down to save money, so I would not be surprised if it's back now as a glorified iTunes playlist.

I have been crazy busy over the last week or so, which also means I have been crazy tired. Apparently I require 7-8 hours of sleep each night. Also, if I don't get that amount of sleep for several nights in a row, my body seems to penalize me greatly.

I will be traveling to NYC tomorrow for a [long] meeting. It should be cool, although I hope to not waste too much time during the commute. I got things to get done.

Also, this one project that isn't a priority, but has become one, has been launching for a while now. It's not that I am wasting time, it's just that I want it to be perfect. I seem to be sweating each detail for a long time, which is really adding up. It's cool because it's not a mission critical thing, but it's annoying me how long it's taking...I suppose it will be done when it's done.
